The Adventures Of Tintin Movie Review

19-Feb-2012 By SD
I was a huge fan of Tintin books growing up. Along with Asterix, my brother and I would routinely borrow these richly illustrated comic books from our local library. I loved losing myself in the adventures of Tintin, the reporter-turned-detective who would roam around the world, and even the universe, solving crimes and mysteries in the face of the most deadly of villains. Such adventures! Such excitement!

So I was very excited to see the story of Tintin bought to the big screen – especially when it was being done by Peter Jackson and Steve Spielberg. And I was not disappointed as the film and the story behind the film managed to capture the spirit of Tintin and his adventures.

How refreshing it is to see a film that is just sheer good fun and suitable for all the family. However don’t expect the usual subtle adult themes and jokes in your usual Pixar animated films. This one is truly a film based on the adventures of Tintin.

I also have to say that to me the real hero of the film was Snowy, his dog. Gosh, he is just so cute! And it was also great that they chose to not promote the actors who voiced the characters in the film, so that the starts of the film could be Tintin and his friends instead.
