Retreat Holistic Beauty Spa Review

26-Oct-2010 By SD
I've been going to beauty salons regularly since I was 26 which is basically from when I could start affording it!

I've certainly been to my fair share of salons and from that I know what I like and what I don't. My favorite treatment is a facial, primarily as I find them incredibly relaxing. I don't necessarily go in the hope of getting amazing skin - I think that they help but drinking lots of water and getting lots of sleep will always beat any treatment or potion!

So when I judge a salon, the relaxation element is always the highest priority, followed by how good my skin feels after the treatment.

For this reason I love my facials at Retreat Spa & Beauty on Oxford St in Paddington in Sydney. Leah, the manager of the salon who does my facials is amazing. What I like is that each time she tailors the facial to how my skin is, not just giving me the same ones over and over because let's face it - most skin changes from season to season. And I truly get the feeling that she understands my skin. But what I really love are the amazing facial massages she gives, they are so stress relieving.

Also she never leaves the room. If there is a masque on, she will massage your feet, if there is exfoliation to settle, she will massage your head (divine!). You really get value for your money as she devotes herself to you for the entire time. And facials are not cheap so I need to feel I am getting value for money. And as an added bonus, my skin really is looking better these days.

Admittedly I am drinking tons of water and am being very healthy at the moment but I do feel the facials are helping towards this. So if you want to treat yourself give Retreat in Paddington a try and be sure to ask for Leah. retreatholisticbeauty.com
