Logan 2008 pinot noir review
29-Nov-2010 By SimonLogan Winery is a family-owned winery that mainly sells cool-climate wines from Orange and Mudgee. The business is run by husband and wife team, Peter and Hannah. Wines are released from three ranges: Logan (from Orange), Weemala and Apple Tree Flat. The wine labels themselves are exquisite and do their job in enticing you to buy and try the wine.
My favourite of the wines has to be the Logan 2008 Pinot Noir. It is light in colour and a perfect red wine to drink in the warmer months. At the time of tasting the wine I wrote down the words “earthy” and “berries” – the pinot had an interesting fruit palate yet was well balanced with refined tannins. And all of this resulted in me buying a case of the Pinot!
Check out their wines as they are readily available in most liquor shops but if you cannot find them their website is www.loganwines.com.au
